It’s irritating stuff but moss is attracted and grows in damp or shady locations – including tiles that are shaded or have been through the wars with wet weather.
Our roofers are trained to remove the easily identifiable flowering plants. Moss on roofs can cause various issues, it can block drainage points and cause wood rot. Not only does it significantly age your roof it can escalate into expensive repairs or even a new roof if left untreated.
We always advise getting moss removed regularly if your roof is prone to moss growth. Moss attracts moisture and literally absorbs moisture which can travel underneath tiles. As well as falling onto the ground and making a mess, moss can fall into downpipes or gutters causing blockages and can attract insects and birds.
We have various moss removal options and our helpful roofers are always happy to discuss options.
